SHADOW SIDE OF

THE FEMININE

FREE 3 PART WORKSHOP SERIES
SERIES FOR WOMEN

This series highlights how we as women have been conditioned to suppress some of the most vital aspects of our emotional, sensual, psychological & spiritual landscapes, in order to keep up to the unattainable & limited standards of patriarchal femininity.

This 3-part workshop series is an antidote to these structures & and an invitation to open to the hidden and denied aspects of self ( the shadow), in order to reclaim your natural, embodied aliveness as a women.

Hosted by Maanee Chrystal.
Somatic Trauma therapist, Dance Therapist, Erotic Educator, Sensual Embodied Activist, & founder of the Somatic Institute For Women

The shadow is the unconscious, the hidden, suppressed & denied aspect of self.

Shadow work assists us in birthing otherwise unknown parts of ourselves and our experience into the known, by making the unconscious conscious.

In this 3-part workshop series Maanee Chrystal, Somatic Trauma Therapist, Educator & founder of the Somatic Institute For Women will guid you into a journey that uncovers aspects of the shadow side of the feminine, where over 17,000 women have joined & felt deeply seen by these unique teachings.

UNPACKING THE FEMININE SHADOW

As women, many of us often don't feel safe to just be ourselves.

Rather, we are programmed & socialised to adapt our behaviour, please others & live by unattainable standards of perfection & "femininity" based on what we do, how we look, how successful, youthful  & sexy we are, to affirm our worth.

It is In our search to be accepted, belong & avoid feelings or experiences of abandonment,
we end up self abandoning in order to feel safe & fit in.

In this workshop series you'll receive trauma informed shadow work & somatic practices that support your own investigation into the shadow of patriarchal femininity & what we can do to step into our feminine outsides of the limiting & conditioned structures places upon us as women.

You will be supported to come into intimate relationship with your own shadow as a pathway towards a deeper embodiment & reclamation of your birthright to feeling safe, alive & free in your own body as a women.

Workshop #1

Foundations of shadow work

In this first workshop you will be introduced to the courageous journey that is shadow work. I will support you into a meeting of the lost parts of self. The parts that we learnt are not allowed to be known, expressed & felt.

In this workshop we will cover how & why the shadow develops, why we experience shame & why we fear to be honest, authentic & vulnerable in the way we relate to ourselves & others. You will discover how to become aware of your own shadow through noticing the ways we seek validation & approval, project unintegrated shadow aspects onto other people and how to start to feel safe to express authentically, be honest & feel in deeper connection to yourself & others.

Workshop #2

Dismantling Internalized Misogyny in Women

Whether conscious or unconscious, the longing to feel seen, wanted, loved and desired is intrinsically woven within our body, psyche & nervous system as women. Yet, through unhealthy programming, we have collapsed into objectifying ourselves and our bodies as a way to seek love, validation & approval.

In this 2 hour workshop we explore how internalized misogyny shows up in our thoughts, beliefs, attitudes & bodies as women. We will explore themes around slut shaming, threat, jealousy & competition between women & how we can move from objectification of the body to Inhabitation of the body.

Workshop #3

Embodying Feminine Intelligence

One of the biggest challenges we face today is the phobia of deeply feeling and connecting to our full emotional, sensual, erotic, psychological & spiritual landscape, through the body.

In this 2 hour workshop we will integrate the teachings from the first two days into the body. You will gain trauma-informed resources to cultivate a somatic sense of safety in order to come into contact with the deep feminine- your direct, felt experience of embodied presence, as a way to meet yourself in your essential, core nature.

Women have a complex relationship to their identity & body. Layers of shaming and conditioning around our sexuality, menstruation, pregnancy, ageing, motherhood, gender roles, body image, workplace, power and so much more that has been deeply impacted by patriarchy.

However what we are more interested in unpacking in this workshop series, is not about how we are a victim to this paradigm but how we have internalized it as women, continue to perpetuate it and how we can come back to living life in relationship to our authenticity and natural state of being.

This immersion is a laboratory to dismantle the programming we as Women have received and an embodied investigation towards reclaiming and exalting the feminine outside of the structures of patriarchy.
